A fella I work with has a cousin who is researching their family tree.
I find genealogy fascinating ... it amazing to think of where we all have come from.
I had forgotten that I had started putting together my family tree back in the late 1990s.
I had used a program ... alas, that was about three crashed computers ago. Luckily I had uploaded the information onto the Web so was able to Google it and find it.
Yay!
I don't remember my log in info. Though the site said they'd send it within an hour, I never received it. Not surprising since the product isn't available anymore.
But I am able to see the information ... I just can't copy, edit, download or print it.
So I downloaded a free program this evening and have been manually entering the info just in case some fluke shuts the other program down. Lots of work, yes, but there's some important stuff there that it take a lot of work to get again.
And it's sparked my interest to pick this project back up again.
Has anyone tracked your family tree?

I started mine, but I always get stuck. One day i will pay for the service to try and finish up.
All my family has stayed connected, so haven't really gotten interested in doing any genealogy. How fun, though, for you to catch up with long-lost cousins.
i would like to but when i look it always seems to cost to do one so i didnt try in end. i would love to know where our family started from though
