I've seen Bon Jovi in concert a couple times over the years and it's always an excellent time. Plus I have all their albums on my ipod.
They are in town on Tuesday and Wednesday. I had checked out tickets when the concert was announced in November ... they were about $150. Gord's not all that familiar with their music so I'd have to pay for his ticket if I wanted him to come with me (that's only fair). So it would have been expensive for me.
I had joined the Toronto Star's Wonderlist a couple months ago. A couple weeks ago they had a contest to win two VIP tickets to the concert.
Alas, I didn't win the VIP tickets but I received an email today giving me the opportunity until 6pm this evening to buy tickets for $15 for Wednesday's concert.
Needless to say, I was all over that.
I checked it out, figuring there would just be just a handful of tickets available and they'd be gone ... or the tickets would be way up in the nosebleed sections.
The best available were in the second level section, to the right of the stage, in row 9!
I ordered two, called Gord and he agreed to be my date.
