I was reading My Fair Lazy by Jen Lancaster last night and the author reminisced about Love's Baby Soft.
Do you remember it?
I wore it in high school (late 1970s) ... I had the body mist, powder, body wash and deodorant. I was rockin' that scent!
It made me wonder whether they still make it (apparently they still do).
I Googled it and came across a site called Stuck in the 70s. It's like stepping into a time machine with products I used back in the late 1970s and early 1980s that I haven't seen in ages.

My mother wouldn't buy fun shampoos and conditioners (she bought "creme rinses") so I bought them myself and didn't share!

I only remember the 'Body on Tap' Shampoo and the Agree shampoo. I never understood what "Body on Tap' meant until I got older. (I think I was 21 when I finally got it "-) I've never heard the Loves Baby soft. I think I wasn't cool enough back then to wear it anyways. Though I remember these body sprays I used to wear but I can't remember the brand.

hells yea, they still make loves babysoft, its my scent of choice! they make the body spray and cologne. here they sell it at Rite Aid Pharmacy, and thats the only place I've found it!
i remember those chapsticks. they were ginormous, and sadly...i remember eating mine. i also had a chocolate chip cookie one, and i ate it too.

I remember (and love!) all these products! Do you remember Tickle deoderant? I loved it.
I've been a reader of Stuck In The 70's for years. The author, Julie, is originally from the central Illinois area :)
I remember them all :) My Mom was a big fan of the Body On Tap shampoos, and Sun-In so we always had a stock of then in the house. :)
A friend of mine recently bought Love's Baby Soft somewhere. I bought Body on Tap occasionally. I used Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific a few times when my older sister wasn't around......

I was just doing a search on 'Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific' when I came across your post. I just LOVED that that shampoo! It was an absolute fav. Heaven Sent by Helena Rubinstein was a favorite perfume back then too. I just found a 3.5 ounce bottle of that on ebay for 130 dollars! lol. What a shame you can't walk into Walmart and buy this stuff today.
Holy cow. I saw the link to this post in your sidebar & I'm cracking up. I remember Love's Baby Soft, the shampoos, and all the sticky lip gloss. I'm kind of feeling old now, but thanks for the nostalgic memories!
I totally forgot about some of these products. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. We can still get Loves Baby Soft here at KMART and some pharmacies. I have bought it for my daughters.
