I bought my first digital camera in the fall of 2002 and loved it! Alas, I never used the Nikon again. And I'm on my fourth digital camera (I love my current Canon!).
I found my Nikon when I was cleaning my closet yesterday. What first struck me was its weight. My current digital camera is 10.6 grams ... the Nikon is 4.6 pounds.
I noticed that there is film still in it and I was on picture six. What are those six pictures from the fall of 2002?
I should go "old school" and finish the roll of film, shouldn't I? I must say that I do miss the more extreme zoom lens.

Are you sure you wanna know? - the pics from 2002 I mean :-)
I had a "film cam" - with a lot of lens and accessories - bought in '75 and used it a great deal. It cost around $1000 like yours, and to compare: How much more convenient isn't the Canon G11 I have now and for 1/2 the prise!
I remember the great pix that camera took. The filters helped to bring out the color of the water down South. I still have my old camera with film in it. I have thought about getting them printed as I wonder what they are.
That filter disappeared when we went to Mexico in July 2002, Sis. I never replaced it cuz it was $70 at that time.
Isn't it amazing how technology has changed, Renny?
Hi Teena! Thanks for the Blogoversary wishes! Actually I am now having a blogoversary giveaway so come back over for the party and comment on the giveaway if you'd like! :)

Very nice camera, BTW!
Sometimes I miss non-digital cameras. There is something kind of fun about developing actually rolls of film. I remember always being so excited to pick up my photos from the store!
Oh I hope you do finish that roll---if it is still good....Won't it be wonderful to see what those 6 pictures are from 2002?
when missing my old SLR I'd neglected to reminisce about the weight. Do like my small light digital.
(saw you at Tanya's)
Whoa - you should totally finish the roll, and then sell the camera.
I actually miss the days of film. Remember how exciting it was to get it developed? Remember how maybe 8 shots out of 24 were really any good?!
What amazes me about the digital cameras is that I've been at parties/bars/events where people are checking the pictures THEY JUST TOOK.
You're still at the party!
I'm not sure why, but this cracks me up. :-)
