My upclose vision is fine and I wear contacts for distance. But the contacts throw off my upclose vision so I wear cheap (but funky) reading glasses to correct that.I've been noticing lately that my vision looking into the distance isn't crisp. I assumed I needed a stronger prescription.
I had my eyes checked this afternoon ... they hadn't been tested since 2006 or 2007.
The optometrist did tons and tons and tons of tests. She finished off with putting drops in my eyes to dilate them so she could look some more.
An hour and a half and $100 later, she determined that my vision hasn't changed ... but she suggested different contacts (same brand but with more moisture).
The problem right now, though, is that my pupils are still dilated and I'm having problems seeing. When I stumbled out of their office into the sunshine, I felt like I was blinded!
Good thing I didn't drive to work!

Oh my! I hope it gets better soon
That reminds me I need to make an appointment.
Wow, that's an expensive eye test!
That's what they cost here. And they aren't covered by our provincial healthcare.
