Gord and I went to the gym this morning.
Gord goes to the ashtanga yoga class every Saturday morning.
I like being more active.
I did Week 1 - Workout 3 of the Couch to 5K program ... it's the first time I've finished the first week of the program. Yay!
Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes, then finish with five-minute brisk walking.
Then I spent about 30 minutes doing weights.
I finished off with 30 minutes on the arc trainer ("Personal Trainer" mode ... so slower, faster, normal speed and backwards when the machine tells me) while watching the mindless Jackass: The Movie.
I hadn't been to the gym since Wednesday. I went off track with healthy eating Thursday and yesterday. I gave myself permission to because I had some stuff going on (the CPBI Benefit Ball on Thursday and nachos and drinks with friends last night).
I'm back on track today!

I was off the last few days also. As long as we get back on track it is all good:)
my sister is doing the couch to 5k thing - maybe i'll try. i've been using my elliptical, but i hate it with the fiery passion of 1000 suns. it works, but i'm so out of shape i can feel my pulse in my hair after 5 minutes. : )
How nice you go to spend some quality time with the spouse at the gym. Keep up the good work.
