Smoking ban with kids in car now a go

Drivers face $250 fine under new law launched on Weedless Wednesday

As of yesterday, Ontario's new law bans people from smoking while in cars with children under 16.

Yay!

As a non-smoker, this is excellent news.

Here's a disturbing fact: smoking concentrations in a car can be 20 times worse than in a smoky bar in the days before that was outlawed.

Yuk!

You can read about it here.

I'm also glad this is now law. It's about time we advocate for the kiddies a bit.

You would think it would be a no brainer for people not to smoke in the car with the kids. I have fond memories of puking my guts out whenever we went for long family drives in the car, my parents smoked endlessly. Will people ever learn?

Thank goodness - OMG it's about time!!! I'm so happy I've never smoked, and DH never smokes in our car with the kids, but countless other people do, and it's just so wrong. I hope this law becomes nation-wide.

This should become worldwide.. I hate seeing smokers with kids anywhere let alone in the confined space of a car!

Yea, when a kid has no choice but to be in that car this should be the law!
