Dark rum

Gord and I both like dark rum and Diet Coke so I bought some in different places last week when I was on the cruise.

First up is a Puerto Rican rum called DonG Gold by Serralles. When I was in the duty free shop in San Juan, a fella carrying four bottles of this rum recommended it. He was an American and said he drives to another state to stock up on it. Sounded good to me so I bought a bottle. Needless to say, we are enjoying it.

When we were in Grenada, I picked up a bottle of Clarke's Court dark rum. The guy in the liquor store said that Grenada doesn't export it because they like rum there so much that there isn't enough to spare. We can see why cuz it's delicious too!

There are still two bottles we haven't tried yet. I'll let you know how we like them when we do.

Ummmm hmmmmmm isn't the limit 40 ounces?? LOL

I got pulled over on my return Monday night and customs went through EVERYTHING..every piece of paper ..everything in my wallet..business cards etc..I declared 120.00 and that is all I spent...not something you want to
do at midnight after flying all day.

I like rum too. This sounds good. Have you ever heard of Sailor Jerry rum? It's yummy.

Poor you, LeeAnn! I had no problem and there was zero line-up (the first time evah). I bought two bottles at the duty free at the airport and carried them onto the plane with me. Maybe it's cuz you look so suspicious!

I've never heard of Sailor Jerry rum, Lisa. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Send me some! Ha!

Gord is going to Chicago in a couple weeks so I'll mention it to him.
